Another exciting AIWF event for you to enjoy ...
Take the Pinot Challenge!
See how your taste buds compare with
those of recognized wine experts!
THURSDAY, 20 FEBRUARY 2003
GOLDEN GATE CLUB, PRESIDIO, SAN FRANCISCO
6:00 P.M.
Pinot Noir is one of the hottest varietals at the moment. Rave reviews are being given to exceptional wines from California, Oregon, France, New Zealand, and Australia. Pinots range from light to medium bodied, from fruity to rich and complex. Come and see what all the fuss is about!
This is your chance to learn firsthand the difference terrior makes in these fine wines, giving them a complexity and broad range of flavor, structure, and intensity.
Join us as we hold a blind tasting of the 12 winners from a tasting of over 150 Pinot Noirs by a panel of experts. Several of these experts will be on hand to discuss the merits of each wine as we decide for ourselves which ranks the highest.
This fun, informative, and most importantly, delicious event will be held at the Golden Gate Club in the Presidio, in the lovely Ventana Room. Scrumptious appetizers from Works of Art Catering and fabulous artisan cheeses will accompany the wines as we journey through a variety of Pinot Noir styles.
If you¹ve never done a blind tasting, this will be a great experience, a chance to compare notes with your friends and take your wine appreciation and knowledge to a new level.
Barbara Drady, of Affairs of the Vine, will be our emcee for the evening, introducing our panelists and fielding questions from the floor. It should prove to be another outstanding, not-to-be-missed event!
Seating is limited, so please sign up immediately.
