and Music from the “Great American Song Book

Celebrate America: 6:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Annual Meeting: 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

World Trade Club
One Ferry Plaza
San Francisco

Once again we will hold a joint event conducted by the Northern California Chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food and the World Trade Club of San Francisco for the enjoyment of our members and their guests. Attendees will enjoy exciting American regional cuisine and wine, and dance to the big band sounds of the Starduster Orchestra… all at the World Trade Club, one of the most beautiful spots in the Bay Area with a breathtaking view of San Francisco Bay.

Among our special invited guests will be the Honorable Gavin Newsom.

The reception beginning at 6:00 p.m. will feature assorted artisanal cheeses, oysters, various smoked fish, caviar and more, all accompanied by domestic still and sparkling wines. During the reception, a wide range of intriguing items will be displayed in the bar area for your review and bidding in our Silent Auction.

Chef Serge Queant will create a special menu for this very special evening.
Among its highlights will be:
Bi-coastal seafood salad featuring Maryland blue crab, Louisiana crayfish tails and Maine lobster julienne with spicy citrus vinaigrette;
Roasted California quail with regional berries and sweet Maui onions;
A spectacular entree from our nation’s heartland featuring sliced tender Wyoming bison with Idaho morel sauce and roasted potatoes;
And for desert, a Southern delight, Bayou bread pudding with pecans and hot bourbon sauce;
All of these culinary treasures will be paired with wonderful wines from all over the country, including Trefethen Vineyards and others.

Then, of course, there will be the music - and what could be more appropriate to compliment our theme then that truly American creation, “Swing”. The Starduster Orchestra… no stranger to either organization, will perform the swingin’ sounds of the Big Band Era the way it was played. You will also enjoy songs from the “Great American Song Book” sung by featured vocalist Chuck Campagnet, always popular with music fans throughout the Bay Area.

The AIWF will conduct its Annual Business Meeting prior to this event on the second floor of the World Trade Club.  Starting with a Welcoming Reception at 5:00 p.m., the meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. and concluding no later than 6:30 p.m.

The cost for attendance at this event will be $135 per person for AIWF and World Trade Members and their guests. There is no charge for attendance at the AIWF NorCal Annual Business Meeting.

The World Trade Club is located at One Ferry Plaza in San Francisco, behind the Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street.

Dress will be Black-tie optional.
